Back to Basics
Our chapter can offer its members a "total experience" -- personal growth, development of their managerial skills and effective service to their community. While the theory of "building leaders" is the same throughout the Jaycee organization, the specific projects which our chapter runs, are defined by the interests of our members.
Why did our members join?
To Meet New People!
Whether you were born and raised in Muskegon or moved her recently, we are the place to meet motivated young people. With over 80 members, the Greater Muskegon Jaycees have members from all walks of life. Join us and make some new friends.
To Make an Impact on the Community
Our Community Area of Opportunity runs a variety of projects to help the Muskegon Community. We do everything from playing kickball with No More Sidelines to building homes with Habitat for Humanity. We adopt two local families in need at Thanksgiving and Christmas to provide with food and gits. All the while we run fundraisers for Relay for Life and Harbor Hospice. Have a charity you want to serve? Let us know who we can help.
Networking
Our 80 plus members work in a variety of fields. Whether you are looking for a realtor or someone to help you with insurance, our members are willing to help out. We also provide a business directory to our members so they know who to call.
Professional Development
Our Individual Development Team not only runs programs to help us learn personal skills, but also provides professional training. We work on public speaking, professional mingling, and resume building skills. Anything you want to learn, let us know and we will do our best to help you.
