Movie Night at Plaza 1 & 2

It looks like Mother Nature can't make up her mind. First she dumps snow on us, then it warms up to rain, and back to snow. No matter what it is doing outside, I am certain you are looking for something to do inside! Why not go to the movies? Our next Plaza 1 and 2 day is Wednesday the 25th. Avoid the mid-week blah's by enjoying a movie for only $3 at The Plaza 1&2! $1 of each paid ticket will be donated to the Jaycees cause. Receive $2 off all concession combos, except the #4. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 will play at 3:00, 5:45, and 8:30. Happy Feet 2 will play at 3:15, and 5:30. Footloose will play at 8:00. See you there!

Year End Banquet

Please join us Tuesday, January 24th for the first ever Year End Banquet. In years past we have combined this with our Distinuished Service Awards. We wanted to take a new approach this year and concentrate on our sucesses of 2011.
We will begin the evening with a nice cockail hour from 5:30pm-6:30pm. At 6:30pm we will offer different stations for you to choose from. Choose to eat from one or all 4!
At 7:30pm we will begin our 2011 year end local chapter awards. This is where we will find out the best of the best of 2011.
Oh we are not done....after the awards we will be hosting a Rock Band Competition!! Thats right, put your best foot forward and rock the night away with your fellow Jaycee friends and family.
The cost for this eventful evening is just $10.00 per person. We will also be offering a cash bar. Please pay on the website or at the door.
Please RSVP by 01/16 at the very latest
Can't wait to see you all there!

DSA

On January 31, 2012, we will be kicking off Snowfest Week with our Distinguished Service Awards.
These awards honor 5 individuals in our community between the ages of 21-40 for their contributions to the Muskegon community and achievements in their chosen career.
We give awards to an
Outstanding Young Man
Outstanding Young Woman
Outstanding Young Public Servant
Outstanding Young Educator.

All of us probably know at least one person in this community who makes a difference everyday by just doing their job. Why not recognize them with an award to say thank you for all that they do to make Muskegon County a better place to live, work and play. I encourage each of you to think of someone that you think epitomizes what it means to be an Oustanding Young Person and nominate them! Click HERE» for a DSA Nomination form.
In addition to being recognized at our awards banquet, each winner will receive a one year membership to the Greater Muskegon Jaycees. All nominees and their nominator will receive an invitation to the banquet. Nominees will receive a free dinner and are allowed to bring guests. (Nominators and any additional guests must pay for their own meal).
